FIDS24PC1 combines the power and flexibility of the market leading Intel® Network Processor Unit with the groundbreaking Security Processing Unit to accelerate the bottleneck functions in Instruction Detection and Network Monitoring applications. The card is a PCI compliant add-in card consisting of Intel® IXP2400 NPU, NodalCore SPU, QDR SRAM, a DDR DRAM module, and SSRAM banks for signature database storage. The card is able to run stand-alone or plugged into a host system. Communication to the host system’s provided via an extensive set of software APIs and utility programs.
It provides functions for packet defragmentation, stream reassembly and protocol decoding, signature matching and flow classification. This allows developers to rapidly deploy high performance NIDS solutions demanded by next generation network products. Rapid development through easy to use APIs allows turbo charged products to be brought to market quickly. Developers can configure this application out of the box to create high performance IDS/IPS product.
