Pinhorn Network Gateway Reference Platform is a richly-featured gateway reference platform based on the Intel® IXP425 network processor. With its comprehensive software support, Pinhorn is a coverall reference platform supporting integrated voice, data and wireless gateway functionality for the residential, SOHO markets.
This platform design comes with a wide range of physical interfaces such as two mini-PCI interfaces, MII and GMII connectors that support advanced LAN/WAN technologies. This modularized approach enables OEMs to bring IXP425-based products to market faster, at low cost and with less development risk. When customized product designs are needed, Flexcomm can quickly catch up based on Pinhorn platform to meet the expert product requirements.
